We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst II with a sharp strategic mindset and the ability to translate complex business needs into precise, actionable requirements. This role will serve as a critical bridge between cross-functional teams, enabling more intelligent decisions, streamlined processes, and measurable impact across NRECA's membership.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Works with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, refine, and document the business case of large to extra-large size and complexity initiatives, including the vision, purpose, business goals, definition of done, high-level features, business and system impact analysis, risk analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and return on investment

  • Oversees, manages, and leads Business Process Excellence (BPE) projects of high complexity using Lean Six Sigma and BPE tools, techniques, and standards to improve process efficiency and effectiveness while managing risks.

  • Leads and manages a cross-functional team to troubleshoot and resolve highly complex production support issues using standard and innovative problem management techniques; provides prompt, transparent, and timely communications.

  • Works with or directs other business analysts  to work with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyze, specify, and validate business requirements of large to extra-large size and complexity projects.

  • Analyzes requirements and other artifacts and leads requirements verification sessions with the project team and stakeholders to ensure that the project requirements documentation and other artifacts are complete, consistent, concise, feasible, verifiable, and conform to standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline; or equivalent relevant work experience; e.g., each year of work experience may be substituted for each year of education required. Preferred education focuses on technology and business subjects.

  • 9+ years of business analysis-related experience (preferably in an insurance, financial services, employee benefits administration, or related field).

  • Working knowledge of Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) (or similar BA knowledge base).

  •  Ability to understand, analyze, identify, and effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) business/data/ application/system/integration requirements, issues, problems, and impacts of high complexity.

  • Ability to lead others, develop working relationships, foster collaboration, consensus building, gain agreement/commitment on a plan of action, and effectively hold self and others accountable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred education focuses on technology and business subjects.

  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) preferred

Essential Physical Requirements:
• The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
• Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
• If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
