NRECA is dedicated to the services we provide to our members.  Our Membership team is searching for a new, innovative team member who is adaptable, learning oriented and possess a range of problem solving, organization, and analytic skills. This role provides the opportunity to work with colleagues across all NRECA departments as well as with our member cooperatives.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manages member dues process, including managing the delinquent membership dues recovery process, tracking payments, and communicating with members
  • Supports the process for onboarding new memberships, including organizational research, managing historical files and database updates, managing administrative onboarding processes, and communicating with members.
  • Manages member-facing projects, including annual Member Decal project and twice-yearly NRECA staff visit to co-ops. Coordinates and communicates with co-ops and NRECA staff, creates agendas, oversees program logistics, and closes out projects.
  • Receives, reviews, and responds directly to member inquiries. Identifies inquiries that need to be escalated and routes to management or NRECA staff when appropriate.
  • Develops subject matter expertise in departmental processes and identifies areas to improve processes, documentation, and/or reporting.
  • Consistently enters and updates all aspects of membership data into CRM to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Skills:  

  • Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, business, or related field required.
  • 2 or more years of experience with association member outreach, membership data, or member engagement
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of netForum
  • Knowledge of current membership association engagement
  • Knowledge of project management and business analysis principles.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
