Description

The Clinical Nurse Supervisor is a transformational leader who functions as the first-line shift supervisor for the unit and has the following responsibilities: 

  • Works under the supervision of the Clinical Manager 
  • Has the responsibility, accountability, and the authority to deliver safe, effective, excellent nursing care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the organization Patient Care Services Division
  • Utilizes Jean Watson's Theory of Caring, Relationship Based Care, and NorthBay's professional nursing practice model, supports the mission, vision, values and expectation of excellence of the organization 
  • Responsible for leadership and supervision of direct care staff,  daily operations, leading the team to meet service goals, maintaining and promoting professional development
  • Delegates care to other health care personnel consistent with their scope of practice, job description, competency validation

Qualifications

Education: 

  1. Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing. 
  2. Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required (Employees who are grandfathered are exempted).

Licensure: 

  1. Valid and current RN license by the State of California. 
  2. Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS and ACLS.

Experience: 

  1. Three years of acute care (hospital) experience in area of Medical, Surgical, Telemetry, and/or progressive care unit required.
  2. Competent in providing skilled registered nursing care to Medical/Surgical/Tele level patients
  3. Demonstrated leadership abilities. 
  4. National certification in specialty area preferred. 
  5. Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.

Work Hours:

  • FTE: 0.8 (Full-Time Equivalent)
  • Total Hours: 64 hours over two weeks
  • Shift: 8-hour shifts

Compensation:

  • Hourly Salary Range Min $84.26 - Max $101.62 (Offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
