Description

At NorthBay Health the Clinical Nurse I (RN) is a graduate of a registered nursing program who holds a valid registered nursing license from the California Board of Registered Nurses. The RN will work within the scope of practice of a novice registered nurse under the supervision of a registered nurse clinical preceptor.

The RN has the responsibility, accountability, and the authority to deliver safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the Department of Nursing.  The RN, utilizing Jean Watson's Theory of Caring, Relationship Based Care, and NorthBay's professional nursing practice model assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all patients assigned to his/her care. The RN/IP makes determinations regarding the progress of the patient toward goals and utilizes a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health.  Care is provided according to the specific physiologic, developmental and psychosocial needs of the patient.  Supports the mission, vision, values and expectation of excellence of the organization.

Qualifications

A complete application will include:

  • Resume (include information on clinical rotation (Facility, Unit, Hours)
  • Certifications (BLS, ACLS, Etc. can be listed on resume)
  • Unofficial Transcript
  • Letter of Recommendation from Faculty/Preceptor

Education: 

  • Clinical Nurse I: Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing, BSN required. 
  • Collegiate Clinical Nurse I: Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing, ADN required. Must be completed with a BSN or MSN program within 36 months of hire into Collegiate Clinical Nurse position.

Licensure: 

  • Current BLS AHA for Healthcare Provider.
  • Must hold a valid, current and unencumbered California RN license by the first day of employment.

Experience:

  • Less than 6 months' acute care experience working in the clinical setting.

Work Hours:

  • FTE: 0.9 (Full-Time)
  • Schedule: 72 hours every two weeks
  • Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
  • Days: Weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

Compensation:

  • Hourly Salary $66.71- $73.54
  • PM Shift Differential $6.60 per hour
  • NOC Shift Differential $9.80 per hour
