
Description
Reporting to the Litigation Support Supervisor, the Worker's Compensation Legal IME Coordinator is responsible for is responsible for scheduling and communicating examination details to the involved parties, supplying medical records and documents to the IME physician, confirming exam attendance, and obtaining the report.
The position requires the IME Coordinator to work and communicate with WC Legal Support, Paralegals, Attorneys, as well as other team members. The IME Coordinator will also interact with the Injured Worker's representative and medical providers, as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Initiate contact with the physician's office to schedule and coordinate examinations.
Communicate with the NJM attorney regarding appointment scheduling, appointment changes, no shows, cancellations, and receipt of completed IME report.
Communicate examination details to the Petitioner's Attorney (and if permissible, Injured Worker directly) as well as any scheduling changes, issue timely and accurate correspondence, and document all contact and activity in ClaimCenter regarding the file.
Ensure timely communication with IME provider to cancel or reschedule as needed.
Supply medical records to the IME Physician.
Confirm attendance and secure the IME report within NJM guidelines.
Handle and respond to incoming communication from IME physicians and Injured Workers' attorneys concerning the examination and appropriately escalate calls to the NJM Staff attorney as needed.
Participate in educational or training activities as required.

High School Diploma or GED
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
Pay Range: $49,871-$57,881Eligible full-time employees receive a competitive Total Rewards package, including but not limited to a 401(k) with employer match up to 8% and additional service-based contributions, Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, Life and Disability coverage, generous PTO, Paid Sick Leave, and paid parental leave in addition to state-mandated leave.
