Our General Claims Homeowners department has an opening for a Property Field Adjuster and is seeking a candidate who has excellent communication skills as well as strong organizational and time management skills. This role will be based in our West Trenton or Hammonton office location.
Hours: 8:00 AM- 4:15 PM
Salary Range: $48,000 – $90,000 Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
Job Responsibilities:
- Appropriately handle, settle and close property damage claims by bringing a prompt and amicable resolution.
- Handle 1st and 3rd party property claims.
- Verify coverage, investigate new claims, contact all parties involved.
- Ensure that claims are settled and negotiated based on company guidelines and applicable law.
- Perform desktop assessment of damages and review of repair estimates.
- Obtain all necessary documentation to support the claim investigation.
- Communicate with policyholders throughout the processes to resolve claims in a fair & efficient manner.
- Provide policyholders with all warranted documentation to assist in the investigation and settlement of the claim.
- Travel throughout Central NJ is a requirement of the field adjuster role.
Required Duties and Responsibilities:
- High School Diploma is required; A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Commercial/Building Structure Adjustment Experience is preferred.
- A familiarity with commercial lines or claims is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience within a construction or insurance (Claims) capacity required.
- Excellent customer service experience.
- Multi-tasking abilities and technical skills needed.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Knowledge of Xactimate Estimating software preferred.
- Multi-state claims handling experience is preferred.
