Commercial Lines is expanding and growing and has added a Compliance Analyst to their team. The Compliance Analyst is responsible and accountable for conducting complete and thorough reviews of compliance related activities including checklists, market conduct summary reviews, regulatory updates and other compliance related activities assigned. In addition, the Commercial Lines Compliance Analyst is responsible for participating in targeted compliance and process audits to support the department. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

·         Review the regulatory compliance checklists provided by Law and Regulation for each state. 

·         Review the quarterly market conduct summaries (multi state/product) facilitated by Law and Regulation.

·         Perform the annual market conduct self-audit facilitated by Law and Regulation.

·         Identify, document all identified regulatory gaps and, in partnership with business leads, manage to completion.

·         Prepare quarterly regulatory gap dashboards and distribute to leadership.

·         Respond to regulatory compliance checklist questions from other departments within NJM.

·         Follow up on all regulatory updates/new regulations provided to Commercial Lines by Law and Regulation and identify disposition or gap creation.

·         Develop key regulations/operational controls matrices by state/product to directly manage highest regulatory risk.

·         Develop and execute key regulation self-audit programs based on the key regulation matrices in coordination with the Quality Assurance Analyst. 

·         Participate in regulatory compliance coordinator meetings in support of the Commercial Lines Compliance Administrator.

·         Assist the Commercial Lines Compliance Administrator with any Internal Audit reviews coordination.

·         Assist the Commercial Lines Compliance Administrator with developing various operational processes and documentation required to support Commercial Lines regulatory compliance efforts.

·         Assist the Commercial Lines Compliance Administrator with development and maintenance of Commercial Lines New Business and Termination Guideline documents for each line of business and state.

·         Assist the Commercial Lines Compliance Administrator with the updating of the Commercial Lines Compliance SharePoint site.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree preferred.

·         2-3 years of audit ,compliance and/or underwriting knowledge.

·         Working knowledge of risks and controls.

·         Desire to work collaboratively in a team environment.

·         Detail-oriented, analytical, and problem-solving ability.

·         Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

·         Pro-active and self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.

·         Team player with demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.

·         Good organizational and time-management skills.

·         Proficient in utilizing MS Office, including Word and Excel. 

The range for this position is $68,711 - 79,000 and is commensurate with skills and experience.
