General Summary: A brief description of the main purpose for this position
The Workers' Compensation Legal Administrator assists with supervision of the Workers' Compensation Legal Department, including oversight of legal defense, and provides support to NJM's Workers Compensation attorneys.

Provides oversight of NJM's workers' compensation court list.
Works collaboratively with internal resources in the defense of Workers' Compensation claims to ensure the interest of NJM policyholders is protected.
Provides coaching, guidance and supervision to staff attorneys.
Oversees the development of litigation strategies.
Supports department goals and objectives as needed, including taking on strategic projects and special assignments.
Maintains a prescribed number of court lists as needed.
Required Qualifications: Knowledge, skills & abilities, experience, minimum & desired education, certification and/or license requirements.
Critical thinking skills and attention to detail

Strong negotiation, communication and writing skills
Ability to problem-solve and make decisions
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to customer service
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
Workers Compensation experience, including multiple jurisdictions
Supervisory experience
Juris Doctor degree
License to practice law in the state of New Jersey
Preferred Qualifications:
10 plus years of experience

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
Pay Range: $142,541-$165,583Eligible full-time employees receive a competitive Total Rewards package, including but not limited to a 401(k) with employer match up to 8% and additional service-based contributions, Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, Life and Disability coverage, generous PTO, Paid Sick Leave, and paid parental leave in addition to state-mandated leave. Employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
