  • Participates in all phases of the development life cycle, focusing on coding, testing, and debugging
  • Works on the maintenance or enhancement of existing applications
  • Researches, evaluates and analyzes technical and design requirements
  • Participates in cross functional discussions and effectively communicates information, both written and verbally to members of the project team
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of related tools, trends and developments
  • Works with team members to establish consistent development and documentation guidelines
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Documents all technology changes through appropriate change control
  • Provides support and troubleshooting of prior developed technology solutions
  • Participate in design brainstorming sessions, technical design reviews, formal code reviews, site QA, and functional demos
  • Ensures work is completed in such a way to comply with established J-SOX and other internal controls  


Qualifications

  SUMMARY OR REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum four years' experience developing scalable, high-volume, enterprise web sites/applications
  • Knowledge with HTML5, PHP, JavaScript, CSS3 and responsive design
  • Ability to identify and quickly fix browser and desktop/mobile compatibility issues
  • Familiarity with integrated development environments and version control systems such as SVN and GitHub
  • Knowledge in SOAP- or REST-based web services, XML, JSON a plus
  • Strong understanding of site performance, web analytics, and SEO techniques
  • Proficient and comfortable working on multi-tier applications
  • Experience in Agile software development such as Scrum is helpful
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise in interaction design, usability, and information architecture required
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field with equivalent relevant experience.

** This is a CONTRACT position 

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time. 

This contract position has a base pay range of $50 - $75 per hour and is eligible for benefits through the employing agency. Agency benefits may include medical, dental and vision, 401(k), basic/supplemental life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, health and dependent care spending accounts, transportation benefits, employee assistance program, paid sick leave, and up to 6 paid holidays per year. All benefits are subject to elections, eligibility requirements, plan and program terms. Benefits offerings will be confirmed at the time of offer by the employing agency, and may differ depending on the employing agency partner.
