  • Manages end-to-end lifecycle for technical projects and efficiently applies appropriate project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Partners with Engineering leadership and division stakeholders to identify project needs, evaluate business solutions and develop strategy.
  • Assists Engineering management in assigning personnel to project team(s) to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the project.
  • Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning of assigned projects/programs.
  • Oversees and reviews requirements, business process models, specifications, configuration changes and recommendations related to proposed solutions.
  • Defines and documents project team requirements, resources, schedule and risks.
  • Independently analyzes and resolves considerably complex issues. Manages ambiguity at any stage of the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborates with members of Nintendo Co., Ltd. (NCL) and its subsidiaries, and with external partners.
  • Communicates effectively and efficiently with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams, senior management and external partners.
  • Develops roadmaps and plans for technical projects with inputs from internal cross-functional and cross-organizational engineering teams, and from external partners.
  • Identifies and reconciles cross-project / cross-team dependencies.
  • Owns project decisions that impact cross-functional and cross-project goals.
  • Evaluates key performance indicators across projects and implements improvements.
  • Evaluates customer impacts and opportunities beyond current project plans.
  • Measures project quality, schedule and cost against project KPIs and defined business objectives.
  • Produces high quality project reports for cross-organization and external stakeholders.
  • Highly effective at collaborating with multiple teams to achieve project goals.
  • Ensures project execution and deliverables are handled properly per NTD information management policies and Nintendo policies.
  • Up to 5% travel; domestic and international possible.


Qualifications

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5-6 years of experience managing projects and/or Engineering Management experience
  • Expertise with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and end-to-end product development
  • Authority on project management models and methodologies
  • Comprehensive experience with industry standard project management and development tools, and engineering practices
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Experience conducting in-depth analysis of complex issues and resolving them in creative ways
  • Knowledgeable about embedded systems development
  • Experience managing others a plus
  • Prior software or hardware development a plus
  • Fluency in Japanese a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / Agile Certification or equivalent coursework preferred
  • Valid passport may be required

This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time.    This contract position has a base pay range of $70 - $115 per hour and is eligible for benefits through the employing agency. Agency benefits include eligibility for medical insurance, employee assistance program, and paid sick leave. All benefits are subject to elections, eligibility requirements, plan and program terms.
