Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

 

NFM's Data Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing data architectures that align with business needs, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance. They act as a bridge between business requirements and technical solutions, collaborating with various teams to deliver effective data management and analytics capabilities. A Data Solution Architect is a key player in an organization's data strategy, ensuring that data is effectively managed, utilized, and protected to support business objectives. This is a remote position requiring the candidate to reside in NE, IA, MO, KS or TX. 

 

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

  • Build: Create and maintain data models, database structures, and data flow processes that meet business requirements
  • Model: Design the implementation plan for data platform, coordinating with other Solution Architects
  • Manage: Ensure data management practices adhere to relevant legal and ethical standards, including data security and privacy regulations
  • Assist: Work closely with various stakeholders, including business analysts, data scientists, IT professionals, and development teams to ensure data is staged, properly stored, backed up and secured
  • Collaborate: Translate business needs into technical data models, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval
  • Execute: Choose and implement appropriate database management systems, data storage solutions, and other technologies that align with organizational needs

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?

 

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the USA on a full-time basis. NFM will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, data analytics, or related field or equivalent experience 
  • 8 years' experience in developing and maintaining data architecture, logical and physical data models, data standards, data governance, dimensional data modeling, process modeling and performance tuning of large-scale data warehouses
  • Proficiency in data modeling, data warehousing, SQL, ETL processes, and experience with various database systems.  A strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data integration
  • Proficiency in data management tools and technology in a Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Big Data environment
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Experience delivering custom data architecture solutions across various industries preferred
  • Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex data-related issues
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to enter data quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and/or early morning hours based on business needs
