Pay Range: $45,793– 79,148.00 annually
Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle At NFM, the Business Intelligence Developer II designs, analyzes, tests and implements business intelligence, analytics and enterprise reporting solutions. This role will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud data infrastructure for NFM. This is a remote position requiring the candidate to reside in NE, IA, MO, KS or TX. Job Duties: A Day in the Life
- Create: Development/support of MS SQL server code including complex optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions with an understanding of performance factors such as indexes, T-SQL techniques, execution plans and statistics. Design and maintain cloud data warehouses and data lakes. Optimize data models for performance and scalability
- Plan: Build ETL which loads complex data warehouse objects including dimensions, hierarchies, fact tables, aggregates
- Collaborate: Work with a cross functional team to understand the business issues or identify opportunities and gather Bl system requirements
- Manage: Design, build and deploy customer-facing Bl solutions (eg Power BI Reports, Dashboards) and build the reporting metadata layer. Monitor data pipeline performance & cost.
- Research: Provides input to the development of information quality metrics, to standards, policies and procedures for the form, structure, and attributes of the Bl tools and systems
- Bachelor of Science in Computer or related field required
- 4+ years of IT or NFM experience or have achieved a technical certification or developed unique skill set required
- Knowledge of BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Synapse, Azure Data Factory, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Tableau, Excel, SQL)
- Knowledge of SQL, Python & other programming languages and frameworks such as Scala, R, or Spark.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, using tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions preferred.
- Ability to take initiative and be innovative
- Performance tuning abilities in all tools in given Bl stack
- Ability to model relational and dimensional database models using standard with Bl modeling tools
- Ability to map data elements from various data sources for both logical and physical environments
- Excellent problem solving/analytical skills
- Ability to create efficient and professional parameterized reports that include tables, matrixes, charts, and sub reports using key indicators.
- Ability to explain technology solutions to internal customers in business terms and translate business requirements into technical specifications and report design
- Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs
