Job Description:
The Sr. Manager for Packaging solutions will be responsible for oversees the whole packaging process ensuring our products are properly packaged according to local & international regulations as well as Customer´s need in our Solar Sites; the ideal candidate will be based in Madrid (Spain) reporting to our Sr. Director for Logistics Operations although we are open to consider other locations based on candidate´s profile.
Here is the key role of what you will do…
- Develops and maintains a sustainable Global Packaging strategy that is aligned with business strategies to deliver standardization, harmonization, quality improvements, value engineering initiatives and support the safety of our products.
- Drive continuous improvement in packaging processes, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Define and manage regional packaging guidelines working with key external and internal stakeholders with a vision of supporting Customer satisfaction.
- Coach and mentor the regional packing technology professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment underpinned with common ways of working with a focus on quality, business partnering and value creation
- Establish and maintain a full set of standardized packaging processes, data and specification requirements across all regions, ensuring consistency and compliance with international regulations.
- Collaborate with vendors to assess and integrate cutting-edge packing technologies that enhance product quality, reduce costs, and align with sustainability and safety goals.
- Engage with and lead cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Procurement, R&D, production, and supply chain, to develop a technical packaging strategy that support overall business objectives and timelines.
Here are some of what you'll need (required)…
- Technical packaging degree BSc/MSc or equivalent.
- 10 years' experience working in an industrial packaging environment either on packaging solution providers or packaging departments within manufacturers.
- Solid people manager used to work with teams located remote in different time zones.
- Able to lead change in challenging times, effectively challenging the standard approaches where appropriate.
- Working at a global level supporting our customers and willing to travel globally including regular visits to Suppliers as well as Solar Sites.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
