Job Description 

The Supply Chain - Senior Technical Program Manager - EMS will be based in the NX office located in Fremont, Ca. USA.  

In this position, you will report to theDirector of Supply Chain Program Management - Electrical.  

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do…  

  • Coordinate cross functional activities between Supply Chain internal teams (Planning, Procurement, Sourcing, Logistics), other NX teams (Ops, R&D, Quality, Product Application, etc.) and external parties (customers, installers and 3rd party certification)  

  • Work with design engineering teams, other cross functional teams, manufacturers, and components suppliers to successfully launch new products on time (Cradle-to-grave)  

  • Support new supplier onboarding and qualification activities.  

  • Influence product manufacturability, testability, and supply chain availability in pursuit of high quality and low cost.  

  • Work closely with cross functional teams including engineering, quality, operations, and global commodity managers.  

  • Act as steward of supply chain operational efficiencies through identifying and implementation of continuous improvements in key Business Processes for the organization.  

  • Provide a feedback loop to Engineering and Supply Chain to capture lessons learned from product rollouts and provide recommendations for future designs and processes.  

  • Negotiate project requirements, deliverables to achieve successful and cost optimized product deployment  

 

Here is some of what you'll need (required)…  

  • Bachelor's degree Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Operations  

  • PMP or PMO certification is preferred.  

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical or manufacturing engineering, product development and new products introduction (prototype to volume ramp-up).  

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands. Thrives in an  

  • Electronics manufacturing services (EMS) Contract Manufacturing Experience  

  • Experience working with domestic and offshore 3rd party Contract Manufacturing (CM) and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM)  

  • Strong understanding of Electrical/Mechanical component level supply and basic engineering concepts. Specifically, background should include EMS, Enclosures, PCBAs & power supplies.  

  • Experience developing energy products preferred.  

  • Experience with basic engineering concepts, FMEA, DOE, DFS and DFMx).  

  • Communication and Leadership: Excellent presentation, communication and both verbal and written skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively.  

  • Continuous Improvement: Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.  

  • Strong Systems skills ie: ERP, program management tools  

  • Safety Consciousness: Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations and protocols  

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
