As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a key role in optimizing our manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, implement best practices, and deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Development and Optimization:

  • Lead the refinement and optimization of manufacturing processes across multiple product lines to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall quality.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for productivity enhancement through the adoption of automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineering teams to ensure seamless transition from product design to mass production, focusing on design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
  • Foster strong partnerships with external suppliers to streamline the documentation and analysis of manufacturing processes for electronic products, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.
  • Drive the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, actively seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Employ advanced techniques such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen events, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to drive meaningful process enhancements and cost savings.

Documentation and Auditing:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough process audits utilizing a combination of internal standards and industry best practices to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Proactively engage with cross-functional teams to address audit findings and implement corrective actions in a timely manner, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Project Management:

  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, utilizing robust project management methodologies and tools to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Apply the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC) framework to project management, facilitating structured problem-solving and data-driven decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders from various departments, including Design, team, Operations, and Quality Assurance, to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery of results.

Quality Management and Process Control:

  • Drive the implementation of comprehensive quality management systems, including the identification and documentation of critical to quality (CTQ) characteristics and the development of robust control plans.
  • Leverage advanced quality tools such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Design of Experiments (DOE) to proactively identify and mitigate risks to product quality.
  • Champion a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization, providing guidance and training to cross-functional teams on quality principles and best practices.

Data Analysis and Process Improvement:

  • Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement, leveraging tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Pareto analysis, and regression analysis.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop predictive models and algorithms to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance product quality.
  • Actively monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress against goals and identify areas for further optimization and refinement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a manufacturing process engineering role, preferably within the high-power electronics industry.
  • Experience working at supplier locations and collaborating with external teams.
  • Proven expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to process improvement.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working in a contract manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of high voltage safety regulations.
