The Packaging Engineer will be based in Hyderabad. In this position, you will report to the Senior Manager - Packaging Solution. This position will be responsible for managing design and implementation of packaging for Indian suppliers. This team member will work with the rest of the Packaging team located in other regions as well as other internal Nextracker stakeholders. Responsibilities will include developing SOPs to provide safe shipments of goods while balancing cost, environmental impact, and storage. The engineer will lead traceability, packaging, and warehousing initiatives to ensure high customer satisfaction. Watch this video to learn why Nextracker is more than just a place to work.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

• A New Product Introduction (NPI) program encompasses all the activities within an organization to define, develop and launch a new or improved product. Packaging Engineer will support all NPI activities with a specific focus on packaging.
• Develop the overall prioritization, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria for NX Packaging.
• Focus will balance quality, customer satisfaction, cost, and sustainability.
• Coordinate product management, engineering, quality, project engineering, applications engineering and vendors to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items, ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.
• Working with senior technical leads to developing technical innovation strategy for the program.
• Identify, and analyze problems, taking the initiative to implement improvements identified with a recognized business benefit.
• Lead packaging and logistics cost reduction initiatives. 
• Manage priorities and help cross functional teams focus on top initiatives. Work with technical team and our manufacturing partners to optimize solutions.
• Balance quality, speed to market, and cost reduction.
• Coordinate the day-to-day activities required to deliver all projects and deliverables on time.
• Identify and mitigate risks.
• Host recurring project meetings and deliver status updates to all stakeholders.
• Support product development, sales, and marketing as requested.

Here is some of what you'll need (required)

• Packaging Engineering, or equivalent experience (Preferred but not required)
• Min 3 years of experience developing industrial packaging designs or implementing in the factory for international shipment.
• Experience of working in a factory or a packaging provider.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Availability to travel mainly domestically.
