What you will do:

The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for general accounting duties, which includes Payroll, A/R, A/P, Inventory Cost Standards, General Ledger, Credit/Invoicing, and Financial Statement Preparation, Analysis and Account Reconciliations.  

Key Responsibilities for Senior Staff Accountants:

•    Perform general accounting duties that include hourly payroll general ledger entries, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and account reconciliations

•    Prepare financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, balance sheets, and reports for governmental regulatory agencies

•    Assist in completing projects, responding to audit requests, preparing budgets, and researching specific issues related to a variety of accounting issues

•    Support ongoing analysis of product costs, margins, and inventories

•    Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate improvements and improved working relationships

•    Prepare for and lead staff meetings

•    Forecast cash flow, material payments, and expenses for weekly staff projections

•    Review reports to analyze projection of sales and profit against actual numbers, budgeted expenses against final totals

•    Build and develop strong relationships with internal and external customers with the intent to develop solutions for new situations and identify/correct problems

•    Maintain exemplary attendance and self-motivation

•    Record, track, and report on capital expenditures, fixed assets, and depreciation

•    Maintain accurate fixed asset records while assuring fixed asset control

•    Lead analysis of standards, billing prices, and customer quotes in Real Time system

•    Perform accounting duties with minimal supervision, including problem solving, internal and external phone contact, and data/information analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related financial field

•    MBA or MAcc preferred

•    CMA/CPA designation or desire to obtain

•    Minimum of three to five years of experience in accounting/related field, within a manufacturing/production environment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

•    Proficient with Microsoft Office products, specifically with skills to develop and create Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
