NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Media Systems Engineer based in our Concord, North Carolina office.
This person is responsible for playing a key role in the administration and implementation of next generation, media, and data systems.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist in deploying and managing cloud applications using AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
- Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure to ensure availability and performance.
- Support the automation of deployments using tools like Bamboo, CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve basic cloud-related issues.
- Work with security teams to implement cloud security best practices.
- Collaborate with developers and IT teams to optimize cloud resources.
- Document cloud configurations and standard operating procedures.
Required skills / experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and a minimum of five (5) years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic understanding of AWS cloud services and cloud computing concepts.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments.
- Exposure to scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (VPCs, subnets, firewalls).
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and troubleshoot basic cloud issues.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or other entry-level AWS certification.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog or CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with WordPress administration.
