Mount Sinai Doctors Medical Group is seeking a Medical Director for its primary care and specialty practices in Manhattan!

Mount Sinai Doctors Medical Group is a multispecialty group comprised of more than 2,000 world-class physicians who have extensive experience. Regardless of their specialty, our physicians and staff work together to ensure quality care and speedy recovery for patients with various medical conditions.

The Medical Director will split time between administrative responsibilities and providing high quality primary care services. The ideal candidate will play an instrumental role in ensuring excellent patient care, quality outcomes, and satisfaction. In addition, we would like our talented physician candidates to have a passion for outpatient medicine and be fully committed to mission of Mount Sinai Health System. In addition, the physician will lead by example, actively participating in patient care and bringing out the best in his/her colleagues.

The chosen candidates will have the opportunity to partner with world renowned, Icahn School of Medicine. Mount Sinais Department of Medicine is strongly committed to caring for the whole patient and places special emphasis on providing patient-centered care. The division embraces the mission of Icahn School of Medicine by pursuing an integrated approach to patient care, research, and education. We pursue all dimensions of these three components, considering them inseparable elements of the art and science of medicine.

Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide primary care services to a panel of adults and children who live and or work in the midtown area
Applicant will be a Family Medicine provider with a strong interest in leadership.

Administrative Responsibilities:
Lead quality assurance and quality improvement activities for the practice in order to continuously raise the standard of care
Oversee clinical operations - maintain optimal patient flow and provider access
Identify clinical staffing needs and assist with recruitment
Ensure appropriate physician behavior, competence, and fitness for duty
Address issues related to patient complaints and grievances
Risk management
Develop, implement and monitor protocols, processes and metrics to meet goals of the practice and health system
Schedule regular meetings with physicians in the practice to address performance

Other Activities:
Work with Administration and Clinical Leadership to grow the practice
Regularly present performance metrics and active initiatives to improve performance to Hospital leadership

Position Qualifications:
Medical Degree from an Accredited University
New York State Medical License
Board Certification in Family Medicine
Prior Medical Practice leadership experience

Compensation range from 225K to 245K (not including bonuses / Incentive compensation or benefits)
