Job Description:

Monitors, maintains, and improves enterprise security applications. Troubleshoots enterprise security applications and perform upgrades according to industry and vendor best practices, HIPAA and other regulations, and the hospital's information security policies. Maintains security application documentation. Performs analysis and triage of alerts, logs, and audit files.

Identifies and correlates malicious or anomalous behavior from a variety of sources. Investigates and identifies cause of security incidents. Produces and reviews security metrics. Performs vulnerability scans, tracks findings, and provides metrics. Provides and implements event tuning recommendations. Maintains awareness of emerging threats. Blocks malicious traffic. Identifies and implements preventative measures based on threat intelligence. Audits security endpoint application deployment and configuration. On-call for incident response.

Is a recognized master of assigned security application(s) and applied workflows including clinical, technical and operational. Is capable of working on all aspects of the assigned security application's projects, task requests, and support without the assistance from managers, leads, or other analysts. Subject Matter Expert in the development, testing, validation and optimization of the assigned security application(s). Serves as a knowledge resource for the team, department, and internal end user clients related to both the assigned security application(s), clinical workflow, interdependencies, and downstream impact on other Epic and Non-Epic applications and operational processes. Evaluates and recommends solutions for complicated projects and workflows by working directly with end users and HIT staff across the organization. Service oriented and demonstrates measurable improvements relative to customer service, responsiveness, and quality. Primary contributor when troubleshooting problems and recommending solutions. Master of application design, dependencies, and  interrelationships of security applications with other connected systems and Epic modules.

Education/Experience/Licensure:

Requirements

A minimum of two years of experience performing incident response and vulnerability scanning. Experience with  IDS/IPS, firewalls, spam filters, packet capture, and endpoint protection. Familiarity with network devices and architecture and TCP/IP stack. Experience working with third party security vendors. Experience working in healthcare or other high availability environment. Experience with a variety of operating systems.

Preferences

Security+, CEH, or other security certification. Ability to multitask. Ability to work independently.

Self-starter. Excellent verbal communication skills. Meticulous. Team player. Basic understanding of HIPAA.

$116,105 to $155,313

1.0 FTE (exempt) This is a positon working onsite Monday -Friday with rotating on-call.
