Mission Hospital located in Asheville, NC welcomes applications for a Nurse Manager to lead our ED team! 

 

*This position is eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment to Mission Health. Sign-on bonus will be paid out in your first paycheck! 
Only new hires eligible for sign-on bonus; prior employees have to be separated from Mission for at least 1 year to be re-eligible for sign-on.

 

Mission Hospital is a Level 2 Trauma Center and the ONLY trauma center for 19 counties in Western North Carolina. We have 6 Emergency Departments in our system and this is our main flagship ED in Asheville, NC. It has 94 beds and we see about 300 patients a day as a comprehensive Stroke Center and Top 50 Cardiovascular hospital in the nation. Our ED also has a unique program for trauma nursing, forensic nursing as well as an in-house air medical team with two helicopters. Role Summary: Responsible and accountable for daily operations of a designated clinical area. Advocates and allocates resources to promote efficient, effective, safe, quality and compassionate nursing care based on current standards of practice. Integrates clinical, human resource, and financial data to support decision making. Promotes research and integrates evidence-based practice into clinical, operational, and leadership processes. Ensures compliance with regulatory and professional standards.

 

Required Education: BSN or equivalent (ADN with MSN, BA with MSN)  

 

Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Nursing.

 

Required License/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON.

 

Certification: National Certification in area of specialty within one year of accepting the role. Certification may be in leadership or area of clinical practice. Those actively pursuing degree must obtain national certification within 1 year of graduation.  Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider

 

 

Required Experience: A minimum of five years of recent nursing experience; 2 years in relevant clinical hospital experience with demonstrated leadership skills

 

Preferred Experience: Previous leadership experience
