Mission Hospital located in Asheville, NC is accepting applications for the Director - Nursing Unit - Operating Room!
The Director - Nursing Unit - OR will lead a team of 150+ including two managers. Learn more about the types of surgeries and specializations at Mission Health here. Our robotics program has experienced a high-level of growth. We are proud to have a new state-of-the art operating room with advanced technology including General Electric (GE) tiles in our OR command center.
Job Summary: Directs area operations, programs, and activities consistent with Mission Hospital's objectives and in alignment with the strategic plan. Elements may be accomplished by other leadership but the Director retains responsibility and accountability. The Director of Nursing promotes research and integrates evidence-based practice into clinical, operational and leadership processes. Clinical, human resource and financial data is integrated to support decision making. Responsible for the nursing practice model.
Master's Degree in Nursing or BSN with MBA, MHA or other related healthcare degree. National Nursing Leadership Certification is required within one year of accepting the role or by a signed commitment letter.
Preferred Education: MSN
Required License: RN and BLS
Required Experience: Three years of progressive leadership. Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, Internet and Intranet software, e-mail.
Preferred Experience: Five years of progressive leadership experience.
