Who We Are: Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital St. Louis is a state-of-the-art facility designed specifically for patients requiring inpatient rehabilitation services. We offer programs that range from single therapies to comprehensive, multidisciplinary programs for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal-cord injuries, amputations, burns, orthopedic injuries and other conditions. We provide rehabilitative care to patients and families utilizing a team approach, with an emphasis on improving individual functional ability and quality of life. Our Treatment Team includes experienced Rehabilitation Nurses who provide excellent service and around-the-clock compassionate nursing care in an exceptional work environment.

Overview:
Under the general supervision of the Manager/Director coordinates the flow of work in the hospital. Upon the request of the physician, sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary disease and or illness. Demonstrates clinical expertise for adult, pediatric patients. Also demonstrates clinical and technical expertise with respiratory equipment used in the adult ICU, general floor, emergency department and Family Birthplace. Ensures that all prescribed therapy is completed, charted and given in accordance with departmental policy and procedures. Provides in-service education, shift meetings and current updated policy and procedure guidelines for the Respiratory Care staff members. Will perform all work with accord to the mission, vision and values of Mercy.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Three years of RT clinical experience preferred
- Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Certifications: Maintains current Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice
- Other: BLS tthrough the American Heart Association
