Overview:

 

Assures safe, efficient and quality operation and workflow through supervision, guidance and support of the staff. Responsible for the daily operations for area of responsibility under the direction of the sections manager, director of laboratory and/or medical director. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.


Qualifications:

  • MINIMUM REQUIRED Education: Associate Degree or equivalent.
  • Licensure:Experience: 1-3 years experience in Laboratory or Customer Service Certification/Registration:Other skills & knowledge:(skills, knowledge, abilities)1. Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements; weekends, holidays.2. Must have reliable transportation and valid driver license/insurance.3. Demonstrates good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills4. Is able to manage concerns of patients and employees in a professional manner.5. Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high volume setting.6. PC skills7. Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise consistent, independent, sound judgment.
  • PREFERRED Education: BS/BA degree
  • Licensure:Experience: 1-3 years in Processing, Customer Service, Phlebotomy orGeneral Supervisory ExperienceCertification/Registration:Other skills & knowledge:(skills, knowledge, abilities)1. Current LIS2. Current EMR3. MS Office applications4. Knowledge of CAP/JCAHO requirements
