Overview:

 

This is a remote position.

 

This position reports to the Manager – Treasury Operations and will support Mercy's banking operations and work with various stakeholders including Mercy Revenue Management, Mercy Disbursement Services, Mercy COE Finance, other Mercy coworkers, partner banks, internal and external auditors, vendors, and other parties as needed.

 

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Update bank balances on daily cashflow worksheet and calculate Mercy daily cash position
  • Accurately initiate Mercy electronic funds transfers (EFTs) and archive appropriate supporting documentation
  • Provide other Mercy departments with prompt support and assistance with their banking inquires
  • Cultivate relationships with Mercy's banking partners and collaborate with them to analyze and resolve any banking issues that arise
  • Record journal entries for banking transactions and support Treasury month-end closing process
  • Ensure compliance with all internal controls and banking regulations
  • Support Manager – Treasury Operations with periodic projects and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications:

  • Education: BS Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience: A minimum of five to ten years of working with banking and financial information in situations requiring a high degree of accuracy.
  • Other:
    1. Demonstrated knowledge with financial applications and processes.
    2. Strong written and oral communication skills
    3. Ability to frame analytical questions, perform financial analyses and communicate related results.
    4. Computer literacy with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office 365 suite
    5. Ability to work independently to meet project deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy. 
    6. Ability to work with and preserve confidential information.   

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred Education: BS Degree Finance or Accounting (or similar)
  • Preferred Certifications: CTP or other AFP certification
  • Preferred Experience:  Corporate treasury/banking experience. Experience working with banking systems, vendor relationships, client support.
