Join the LDRP group at Mercy South - this is a collaborative group of RN's who are looking to add a full-time coworker for the care of postpartum mothers and their newborns. The ideal candidate for this role has experience in Women's Health
and/or Mother Baby.

Up to a $20,000 Sign On Bonus!!!

Schedule: 7p-7:30am,Nights

Mother Baby


Our Patients

  • Well babies born over 35 weeks gestation
  • Vaginal and Cesarean Section postpartum mothers

What We Do

  • We collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based care
  • Assist in deliveries to provide transitional newborn care
  • In Mother/Baby, we educate patients on how to care for their infant and themselves after birth during the postpartum period.

Our Floor

  • 12 bed LDRP unit
  • 1:3 or 1:4 nurse to couplet (mom and baby) ratio
  • OB Hospitalist on the unit 24 hr/7 days a week
  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner on the unit 24 hr./7days a week

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Physical requirements/demands: - Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)- CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)- BLS (Basic Life Support)- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment &Care Modules- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)- Other unit specific certifications as required
