Overview: Responsible for assessment, problem identification and problem-solving for patient/staff education relating to breastfeeding. Develops, implements and evaluates the lactation education program. Emphasis with focus on antepartum, postpartum, nurseries and specifically related outpatient clientele. Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, along with specialized training or completion of a relevant internship.
  • Licensure: Must hold a current RN license or RN Temporary Permit in the State of Missouri.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience required.
  • Certifications: Lactation education certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Advanced degree or additional relevant coursework preferred.
  • Licensure: Additional or multi-state licensure preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in lactation support or related specialty preferred.
  • Certifications: Additional certifications in maternal-child health or lactation consulting preferred.
  • Other: Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
