Principal Clinical Business Solutions Analyst - Epic

Core Qualifications for Ambulatory Quality & MIPS Reporting Roles:

 

HIGHLY PREFERRED

  1. Regulatory & Program Knowledge:
    • Deep understanding of MIPS (Merit-based Incentive Payment System) requirements, including QRDA I & III reporting, eCQM measures, and Improvement Activities (IA). 
    • Familiarity with CMS timelines, performance categories, and APM entity-level reporting strategies. 
  1. Technical & Analytical Skills
    • Proficiency in EpicCare Ambulatory, Healthy Planet, and related modules for data extraction and validation 
    • Ability to manage Epic build trackers, interface configurations, and release schedules.
    • Experience with data mapping, clinical documentation audits, and benchmark alignment for quality measures.
  1. Operational & Project Management
    • Skilled in coordinating across departments (e.g., IT, clinical informatics, regulatory teams) to ensure timely and accurate reporting. 
    • Capable of leading or supporting interface development, validation, and hardship filing processes when reporting challenges arise. 
  1. Communication & Collaboration
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging with stakeholders, including CMS, Epic representatives, and internal leadership. 
    • Ability to interpret regulatory guidance and translate it into actionable steps for clinical and technical teams. 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
  •  Experience: Fifteen (15) years of relevant technical or business work experience. Management experience including people management and process management.
