The Patient Service Representative will play a key role in supporting the Mammography team by ensuring timely and accurate scheduling of diagnostic mammograms and breast ultrasounds. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing an excellent patient experience. Position Details:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Scheduling: Communicate and work closely with the Mammography team to schedule diagnostic mammograms and breast ultrasounds promptly and accurately.
  • Appointment Management: Confirm patient appointments and provide clear instructions regarding preparation and arrival. Follows MQSA guidelines for obtaining priors and sending them to outside facilities
  • Follow-Up Communication: Assist in preparing and sending surgery follow-up letters to patients and referring providers.
  • Ensure Timely Follow-Up: Track patients with BI-RADS categories 0 (incomplete), 3 (probably benign), 5 (highly suspicious), and 6 (known biopsy-proven malignancy) to ensure appropriate next steps are scheduled.
  • Patient Support: Serve as a resource for patients, answering questions and addressing concerns related to diagnostic imaging appointments.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare or medical office experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in EPIC scheduling systems and basic computer applications.


Other Skills and Knowledge:
Prefer the following: Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel. Expanded Epic knowledge with basic report writing. Ability to collect and analyze data. Excellent communication, customer service and problem solving skills required.
