Overview:

 

Under the supervision of the NICU Respiratory Supervisor and/or lead Respiratory Therapist and upon request of the physician and/or ARNP sets up, calibrates and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the assement, airway management, respiratory support, stabilization, as well as performance of necesssary therapeutic interventions for the pulmonary disease and/or illness. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

 

 

**Sign on Bonus Available up to $15,000**

$10,000 for < 2 years of experience 

$12,500 for > 2-5 years of experience 

$15,000 for > 5 years of experience

 

This is a Full Time NICU Respiratory Therapist position with Mercy Oklahoma City


Qualifications:

 

Education: Graduate of accredited Registered Respiratory Therapist Program.
Licensure: Maintains current license in the State of Oklahoma
Experience: One year experience as an RRT
Certifications: Registered as a therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT) BLS and NRP before assigned to care for patients independently.
Other: Ability to work alone at times and communicate with staff members during periods of heavy workload. Ability to prioritize workload and accomplish tasks during the appropriate time frame. Ability to work and communicated with Transport team members and referring hospital staff. Ability to perform tasks associated with being a transport team member. Meet the minimun requirements for transport team. Air flight safety and physiological training, and all applicable in-house transport training. STABLE certification EPIC
Preferred Experience: One year experience in Level 3 NICU. One year on Patient transport team.
Preferred Certifications: Neonatal and Pediatric Speciality (NPS) To become certified within three years of hire date
