Overview:

Manages workers' compensation operations and staff in the clinic, as well as builds and maintains customer relationships.

 

Oversee day-to-day operations of workers' compensation (WC) program and workflow within the clinic.

 

Supervise, train, and manage Clinic Support-Work Comp personal.  Ensure WC policies and best practices are up to industry standards.

 

Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources within the WC community.

 

Promote the WC program by setting up and attending outreach events.

 

Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to maintain relationships with insurance adjusters and case managers.

 

Be direct link between the referral source and the clinics.

 

Act as liaison between injured workers, claims adjusters, employers, case managers and physician and clinical staff.

 

Will be the subject matter expert for questions and issues relating to workers' compensation program.

 

Will help train and coach physicians and clinical staff regarding WC workflows and processes.  Track referrals on a database, evaluate outcomes, and track success stories as well as any issues on individual cases.

 

Must have an exceptional attention to detail and maintain and knowledge and competence with workers' compensation laws.


Some local travel required.

 


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Ten years' experience in workers' compensation industry.
  • Required Education: High School Diploma
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree or equal work experienced preferred
  • Other: Successful candidate shall possess strong oral and written communication skills; organizational skills; strong computer operating skills; empathic listening skills; and the ability to get along with employees at all levels within the Mercy organization.
