Manager Surgical Services-Aurora-Registered Nurse-Full time DAYS
Responsible for direction of patient care in the operative environment. Manages staff members in the Surgery, PACU, Central Sterile and Anesthesia departments as well as hospital based Surgeon's clinics. Consults with staff and physicians on nursing issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in performance improvement activities. Supervises and performs direct patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of practice and goals of Mercy Hospital Aurora/Cassville. Formulates budget for the departments.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
Licensure: Current licensure in the State of Missouri as a Registered Professional Nurse
Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in nursing
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Certification required within 90 days of hire. CNOR obtained within two years of employment.
