Position: Manager of Oncology Research (Hybrid)
Dept: Mercy Research - Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City, Fort Smith, Springfield, or Joplin
Shifts: FT Days - 40 hours per week
* This role will require travel to indivdual research sites frequently. When not traveling the expectation would be for the Manager to be onsite at their home community*

Overview:
Manager of Clinical Research for Mercy Research will coordinate, participate in, and provide direct supervision to clinical team members who are engaged in clinical research studies conducted by principal investigator(s). Manager of Clinical Research will coordinate, participate in, and provide supervision over a variety of complex activities involved in the collection, compilation, documentation and analysis of clinical research data. The Manager will coordinate, perform, and oversee study specific activities and processes across multiple studies of different therapeutic areas and phases, in accordance with appropriate regulations, hospital policies and procedures, and study specific protocols/plans and processes. Manager is responsible for the supervision of clinical research coordinators, nurses and supporting clinical research team members within hired core.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in a science related field or a degree from an accredited nursing school.
Licensure: If registered nurse, must have valid license in state of practice; otherwise, not required
Experience: At least 2 years of related experience in clinical research, or clinical team - people management or demonstrated knowledge of healthcare management.
Other Skills and Knowledge: Must be knowledgeable and have an expert understanding of ICH/GCP guidelines as well as all regulatory and ethical issues governing the structure, functions, and requirements of clinical research.
Incumbent needs excellent verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking skills.
Must have knowledge of medical terminology and a strong familiarity with electronic medical records.
Must be able to prioritize and complete multiple projects independently and efficiently with little supervision.
Computer proficiency including word processing, database, spreadsheet and Internet search applications required with excellent customer service and satisfaction skills.
History of meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills in all aspects of work. Expected to serve as a resource for other clinical research co-workers.
Must show a willingness to mentor and train other staff.
Ability to travel up to 35% of time.
Preferred Education: Masters degree in a related field.
Experience: Supervisory or management experience in research. Oncology experience is preferred.
Certification: CCRC/CCRP or obtained within 12 months.
