Overview:

Assists with the administration of medical records.

•Assure medical records (paper & electronic) are received, processed and scanned in a timely and accurate manner to support patient care, and the revenue management cycle.

•Performs a variety of technical and clerical functions in the HIM department in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Competencies

  • Attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Self-starting, independent individual.

  • Highly motivated and organized problem solver.

• Experience

  • Basic analytical skills preferred

  • Basic problem solving skills preferred

  • Basic computer skills preferred

  • Medical technology preferred1 year in an acute care medical records department or customer service role/ industry preferred
