Overview: The Executive Director Strategic Supply Chain Operations assists in developing departmental strategies and maximizing partnerships, processes, and initiatives that support Mercy's strategic goals. This role provides leadership to a team of supply chain professionals, overseeing their growth and performance, while collaborating with various leaders and councils to drive continuous improvement in supply chain performance. Additionally, the Executive Director establishes and leads improvement processes that focus on safety, quality, service, and cost to enhance care quality and achieve financial value.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7 years progressive professional experience and people leadership in hospital, health system, or consulting settings
- Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Health Administration. Ten years of progressive professional experience and people leadership in hospital, health system or consulting settings.
- Other:
Ability to analyze, assess and articulate future changes and business models evolving in the healthcare field as well as a strong understanding of the healthcare environment and trends with the ability to translate into strategic objectives supported by tactical execution.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to distill complex concepts into concise and influential presentation to a variety of organizational and functional leaders.
A strong bias for action, persistency, and resiliency to overcome obstacles, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to travel as needed and up to 30% of the time.
