Overview:

 

Guides and facilitates implementation of the Arkansas Health Partners joint venture in all markets,Leads managed care strategic assessment and development in all markets,Coordinates and supports network organizational development and integration of networks into managed care strategies and initiatives within and across markets, andOversees managed care contracting strategy and implementation taking into account AHP objectives, SSU needs and opportunities, and cross market issues and opportunities.Assess and support SSU opportunities to work with employer health benefit plans, including the development of provider-based initiatives and provider-employer partnerships by seeking interactions between employers, physicians and hospital resources as well as seeking to incorporate appropriate internet technology.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration
  • Experience: Eight years of progressive management experience in a complex organization dealing with managed care strategies and implementation issues. Must have frontline network development experience and be skilled in provider relations.
  • Other:
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and credibly with physicians.
    • Extensive knowledge of the managed care business and management experience in the insurance and health plan administration areas. Must have successful track record in developing and implementing managed care strategies, designing and implementing managed care products, managing and assessing risk arrangements and negotiating contracts, and marketing managed care arrangements.
    • Ability to assess the need for and facilitate development and implementation of the complex and flexible organizational structures necessary to operate the joint venture and to develop and implement provider, organizational components that meet provider and joint venture needs.
    • Strong interpersonal, communications and negotiating skills.
    • An understanding of the change acceleration process.
    • Ability to work in a team and in a team-building environment.
    • Ability to develop consensus plans within strategic concepts.
  • Preferred Education: Masters Degree preferred.
