Overview:

 

The purpose of this position is to provide focused operational leadership for all aspects of Cancer Center Services. This position provides leadership for the overall strategic direction, business development, financial performance, performance improvement, physician collaboration, market influence, market share growth, patient experience and operation of all Cancer Center services. This purpose is executed through both direct line reporting relationships and matrix organizational relationships.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Health related fields required. Master's Degree In Business or Health related fields preferred

     

     

  • Experience: 5 years Experience in senior management roles in hospitals, physician practices or managed care organizations or business leadership with demonstrated success required

     

  • Skills, Knowledge Abilities: Must be able to read, write and speak English. Ability to maneuver through complex situations effectively with minimal disruption, to be sensitive to how people and organizations function and anticipate areas of conflict making appropriate adjustments.  Ability to persuasively communicate project proposals, plans and status to key customer constituencies (employees, the public, physicians and donors), professional associations, government and regulatory agencies, top management and board members •    Ability to write succinct, well-organized reports and plans. Ability to present ideas and information to various levels of management and boards •    Strategic Vision – Participates in guiding physicians and key members of the team to pursue innovative opportunities to develop and expand SoutheastHEALTH Cancer Center's business enterprises •    Ability to develop forecasts, budgets, financial and basic statistical analysis, and the organization of data into meaningful information for decision making •    Ability to analyze and interpret complex problems and develop reasonable courses of action that are consistent with the organizational mission and strategic plan •    Ability to respond under pressure and generate excitement and support for proposals and projects among physicians and management •    Ability to actively listen with patience and accurately restate others opinions •    Ability to win concessions without damaging relationships, to communicate directly and forcefully with diplomacy, to gain the trust of others and have good sense of timing •    Ability to successfully research, analyze, conceptualize, forecast and launch new projects or initiate strategic partnerships, to include the development of business plans and communications/promotional strategies, and mechanisms to evaluate and measure results
