Under practice manager supervision, coordinates the operations of a large practice office. Ensures appropriate staff scheduling, and arranges training. Consults with HR and Operations to support good employee relations. Ensures fiscal efficiency through budgeting, cost control, problem prevention and resolution, and efficient use of resources. Supports physicians' success in the practice assisting with marketing, appointment access, physician advocacy in the organization and achievement of organizational targets. Partner with practice manager on organization intiatives. Ensures efficient procedures through appropriate communication and collaboration with SJMMG and outside resources, maintains appropriate knowledge bases. Ensures practice compliance with governmental, corporate and contractual requirements. Knowledge of billing processes, EPIC, provider credentialing. Oversees office/drug supply orders, inventory tracking, and deposits. Enhances practice reputation through proper customer relations, communication with other medical entities and public, and problem resolution.
Because you're committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That's why you'll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Plus a minimum of 3 years experience in general medical office duties.
- Other: Requires knowledge of medical office procedures, managed care, customer service, computer billing and basic computer software skills.
- Preferred Experience: Laboratory background, knowledge of OSHA and CLIA.
