SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem

These include robotic surgery, endocrine surgery, bariatric (weight loss) surgery, pelvic floor surgery, orthopedic and spine care, hyperbaric wound care, and advanced cardiac imaging. At the Tampa Community Hospital site, services include 24-hour emergency care, inpatient behavioral health services and The Oasis, an inpatient substance abuse program.
Memorial Hospital is currently accepting applications for an ARDMS credentialed Vascular Sonographer / Vascular Tech (RVT) on a PRN/per diem basis in our Ultrasound Department. The Vascular Tech is responsible for producing quality, diagnostic ultrasound images, both vascular and general, ready for Radiologist interpretation. Flexible availability to cover various shifts on weekdays and weekends as well as assigned call is required. A minimun of 2 years of Hospital/ER/Outpatient experience is necessary for consideration.

Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Medical Sonography
Current ARDMS (VT) credential
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Recent Vascular Tech experience in a hospital setting
Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to ultrasound
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, sterile technique and patient positioning techniques specific to ultrasound
Knowledge of safety practices relative to radiation exposure, hazardous materials and infection control policies
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
