General Summary of Position

This position is for current nursing students who have completed Fundamentals of Nursing.  In order to be considered, your application for a CNA license must be in process.  

Job Summary:
Our Student Nurse Assistant (SNA) position will afford you the opportunity to apply what you have learned in your nursing program. The role of the SNA will provide direct hands-on tech-based experience as you assume responsibility for the care of a group of patients under the supervision of an experienced registered nurse (RN). Your skills will shine through as you assist with daily tasks from organizing care for our patients to preparing patients for transfers and discharge. 

Having an opportunity to work from the Float Pool will diversify and solidify your clinical skills as you prepare for the next step in your career path as a Student Nurse Extern during your senior year of nursing school.

Available start date:   June 3rd, 2024 or July 1st, 2024

Required Commitment:  During the summer break, you may work up to full-time hours. Once classes resume, you must be able to commit to working two (12-hour) shifts per six-week schedule.

Hours:  12-hour shifts / Flexible scheduling to fit your school schedule

Pay:  $18.77 per hour

Education/Training: Active enrollment as a nursing student in an accredited nursing program; Successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing (or the equivalent) in an accredited nursing program; Official transcripts will be required at time of hire and at the end of each semester to validate active enrollment.

License/Certification: CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification by the Maryland Board of Nursing is required; BLS (CPR for Healthcare Providers) certification. 

Experience: No clinical experience outside of nursing school is required.
