General Summary of Position
The incumbent in this position performs data entry and a variety of general administrative clerical duties in receiving and the storeroom. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enters issues and return transactions into the inventory computer system prior to any materials being issued or put away onto the shelf.
  • Assists with issuing stock which is requested to be pulled from the storeroom via walkup customer as well as any general Customer Service needs.
  • Can provide data entry assistance to receiving on as need basis for transactions into the purchasing/receiving system and with document filing.
  • Performs Quality Assurance checks of data entered for receiving and inventory accuracy of product levels for the Storeroom through cycle counting and data verification.
  • Provides excellent Customer Service duties within Materials Management such as answering incoming calls, answers general questions concerning product availability, receipt or return, and performs problem solving tasks to ensure Customer satisfaction.
  • Works in conjunction with the Supply Chain Inventory and Project Coordinator to address any Storeroom or Customer needs or complaints.
  • May be called upon to deliver a product or supply or equipment to a customer in an emergency only when a Supply Chain Distribution Specialist is unavailable to make such delivery.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment including all areas of the Department as assigned including break area and supply storeroom.
  • Assists with data entry and preparation during Physical Inventory.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education

    • High School Diploma or GED required or
    • the equivalent (GED). required

    Experience

    • 1-2 years Experience with data entry processes and computer skills required

    This position has a hiring range of $17.5 - $28.73
