General Summary of Position

A Brief Overview
Responsible for a wide variety of complex and routine administrative duties that supports the Quality Department and the Hospital's medicine practices and doctors. Manages day to day activities to ensure all operational responsibilities are completed in an organized, efficient, and timely manner. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interdepartmental collaboration and coordination.  This is a part time role, 20 hours per week, schedule can be flexible within day shift business hours, Monday- Friday.    

What you will do

  • Administrative Support: Performs clerical/administrative tasks to support the efficient functioning of the Medical Staff & Quality department.  Assist senior scheduler on an ad-hoc basis with physician administrative calendar
  • Prepare for meetings and transcribe minutes. Screens and distributes incoming mail and correspondence. Order office supplies as needed. Provide data support (data entry, run reports) utilizing databases and spreadsheets. Compose letters to patients and providers such as grievance, PPC, core measures, etc. Coordinate catering. Other duties as assigned.

  • Organizational knowledge: Works effectively within and between departments.  Participates on inter-departmental teams and committees, communicating department knowledge as appropriate.
  • Development: Maintains current knowledge and develops new knowledge. Works with supervisor to identify learning needs and takes actions to address these needs.  Attends hospital sponsored training programs as required by the department.  Meets all mandatory obligations.


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience.
  • Experience in medical setting, having receptionist skills, (highly preferred). 
  • Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English
  • Moderate/Advanced Computer skills for data entry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • HIPPA Policy knowledge.  

 

 

This position has a hiring range of $23.18 - $40.60
