Pulmonary Sleep Medicine Advanced Practice Provider - MedStar Georgetown University Hospital
Our advanced practice providers work collaboratively with physicians to provide integrated, high-quality care at all locations. As one of the largest medical groups in the country, MedStar Health APPs work with medical, surgical, and specialty providers to provide patient-centered care. We currently have a need for a Pulmonary Sleep Medicine APP.
You will be working with a team of 17 Faculty Attendings and 10 Fellows in this role. Experience managing general pulmonary and sleep medicine patients is preferred. You will work in an outpatient setting seeing Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine new and follow up patients.
Essential job duties include:
· Performing histories and physical examinations of patients.
· Establishing appropriate medical diagnoses based on patient history, chart review, physical exam, lab testing, imaging, and sleep study interpretation and sleep therapy data.
· Recommending, initiating, and managing appropriate therapeutic interventions for various pathologies, including pulmonary conditions and sleep disorders.
· Collaborating with all involved care teams, including other consultants.
· Communicating between healthcare professionals to promote safe patient care.
Schedule:
· Monday - Friday schedule
· No weekends, evenings or major holidays
· Day Shift only
Requirements:
· Graduation from an accredited physician assistant or acute care nurse practitioner program.
· NCCPA (physician assistant) or AGACNP (nurse practitioner) certification.
· BLS certification.
· One year of outpatient pulmonary/sleep medicine experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in general pulmonary and sleep medicine. New graduates will be considered.

This position has a hiring range of $121,000 - $190,000.
