Description
The Mobility Tech provides routine mobilization of patients within their assigned departments, which includes duties such as mobilizing patients to walk the hall, assisting patients to a chair for meals, utilizing lifts to assist bed-bound patients to a chair, understanding/acquiring vital signs as needed and telemetry application
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with basic patient needs, such as filling water pitchers, assisting to the restroom and setting up meal trays
Provides routine mobilization of patients within their assigned departments.
Mobilize patients to walk the hall, assisting patients to a chair for meals, utilizing lifts to assist bed-bound patients to a chair, understanding/acquiring vital signs as needed and telemetry application.
Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors
Audits and maintains all safe patient handling equipment and supplies, reporting equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
Contributes to the universal unit activities including, but not limited to, responding to call lights and telephones, passing meal trays, and transporting patients
Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the health care team
Develops and maintains productive working relationships internally and externally by demonstrating accountability for actions, enthusiasm, motivation and commitment to patients and colleagues
Documents activities performed in the medical record according to established procedures
Performs assigned work in a timely and productive manner
Provides patient care including assisting with daily patient ambulation unique to each patient's needs

QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED Required
