General Summary of Position
Performs professional nursing services for the assigned patient population. Responsible and accountable for the management and direction of the clinical operation and assigned personnel activities of the clinical staff of the department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (RN) required or
- Master's degree in Health Care, Nursing Administration preferred
Experience
- 1-2 years Progressively responsible experience in a hospital setting or physician practice, inclusive of 1 year of previous supervisory experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia required and
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong financial management, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and management skills.
- Experience with the development of clinical protocols/pathways and managing physician-directed services necessary.
This position has a hiring range of $87,318 - $157,289
