Description

Works at the direction of the Vice President, HR Operations to support strategic initiatives and programs across all of MedStar Health's human resources functions. These include HR initiatives that are important to the executive team and to MedStar Health overall as well as HR projects that do not fit naturally within the functionally organized company. This role is responsible to provide data analysis, projects/process improvement, reports, and current trends and recommendations with respect to information that improves the efficiency of the business.
Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, computer science or related field required
Experience
  • 5-7 years HRIS, data analytics and analysis or corporate hr experience in progressively complex roles that required advance knowledge of HR processes and systems required
Licenses and Certifications
  • SHRM-SCP preferred or
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)-HRCI
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of HRIS and ATS database design, structure, functions, and processes, and experience with database tools.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with an HRIS such as PeopleSoft, Lawson, or ADP as well as experience with ATS design.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects.
  • Ability to make recommendations and provide constructive feedback to HR leaders and executives based on impartial and analytical assessment.
  • Demonstrated success resolving conflict with competing priorities, interests, and opinions.
  • Must be self-motivated, collaborative, resilient, and willing to continually drive process improvements.
  • Strong results orientation with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficient with various HRIS platforms.
  • Acts as the HR operations subject matter expert on cross-functional projects or teams as directed in order to ensure continuity with others across the company and keep a pulse on issues affecting the MedStar workforce.
  • Assists the VP, HR Operations with various strategic and tactical HR initiatives by gathering and analyzing reports and writing executive summaries that contain accurate data and pertinent information from across the MedStar system.
  • Evaluate return on investment and/or create measurable outcomes for system-wide HR projects and initiatives.
  • Explores and implements ways to make the system-wide HR Operations function a benefit to the entire system by automating manual processes as well as finding ways to offload tactical efforts from the entity HR staff so that they can work as strategic business partners.
  • Provides data, deliverables, and recommendations to the VP, HR Operations, and CHRO to drive efficiencies and results as well as collaborate on how to move various projects forward.
  • Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and hospital in community outreach efforts. .
