General Summary of Position
Plans all features that need to be part of products, perform market and competitive analysis of products/features, owning the product strategy for rolling 12-18 months. Plans, strategies, and introduces new features and products that will help serve internal and external customers. Serves as the face to the internal and external team to evangelize company products.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and documents underlying user needs and product improvement areas.
  • Conducts market and competitive analysis of education technology products.
  • Coordinates the development of internal and external release notes, help documentation, and other training materials.
  • Manages the list of new features and creates a deployment strategy for incorporating them into the product.
  • Supports efforts to gather and analyze system usage metrics.
  • Supports implementation and onboarding of new products.
  • Works with subject-matter experts, product, engineering, and quality assurance teams to build web and mobile applications.
  • Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and hospital in community outreach efforts. Participates in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement teams.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education

    • Associate's degree in Business, Engineering, Psychology, Human Factors, Interaction Design, or other related fields required
    • Bachelor's degree preferred

    Experience

    • 3-4 years Experience working in a general business capacity, preferably focused on supporting it-specific products required

    Licenses and Certifications

    • No special certification, registration or licensure required

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Demonstrated ability to understand user needs, translate these needs into written requirements, and effectively communicate needs to the development team.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Well organized, thorough, and able to handle competing priorities.
    • Proficient at technical business writing, including requirement specifications, workflows, use-cases, and other documentation methodologies.
