MedStar Health is looking for a Technical Aide to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital!
Hours are: Friday 5pm to Saturday 7am, Saturday 5pm to Sunday 7am, Sunday 5pm to Monday 7am
The Technical Aide will assist the technologists and nurses in the assigned areas. Duties may include assisting the reception area; performing billing and confirmation functions; assisting with patient care activities; patient transport; assist with darkroom and film management activities; monitoring facilities maintenance; transportation of supplies and specimens; inventory management. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Primary Duties:
- Transports patients to and from the Radiology department in a timely and appropriate manner. Aids the technologists and nurses with patient care and patient preparation activities.
- Transports materials and specimens in a timely and appropriate manner. Performs reception activities to include telephone answering and directing of calls, scheduling, billing, and confirmation.
- Aids with darkroom and file room activities. Monitors the maintenance of the section by facilities. Assures area is always clean and tidy.
- Performs designated inventory management. Exemplifies Guest and Staff Relations standards in all activities.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Patient care experience preferred.
This position has a hiring range of
USD $18.73 - USD $18.73 /Hr.
