About the Job

Join our team as a Medical Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in an ambulatory setting. Under the supervision of a physician/provider and/or registered nurse, you will perform both clinical and administrative duties to ensure smooth patient flow and outstanding service.

This position may require occasional travel to other sites within the system.

• Assist providers with patient preparation, exams, and minor office procedures.
• Perform clinical tasks such as:
  • Venipuncture, medication and vaccine administration.
  • Measurement and documentation of vital signs.
  • Point-of-care testing and specimen collection.
• Support patient education and care coordination, including motivational interviewing and screening for preventative care needs.
• Provide clerical and telephone support, including scheduling and insurance pre-authorizations.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Float to other locations as needed and participate in team huddles and meetings.

• Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 6 months in an ambulatory care setting required (externship strongly preferred).
  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Certifications:
  • CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) within 1 year of hire required.
  • CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire required.
• Skills:
  • Strong clinical competency and excellent patient interaction skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
