Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantGeneral Orthopedic Surgery – Inpatient & Outpatient | MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center – Baltimore, MD
MedStar Medical Group, part of the largest healthcare system in the Baltimore/Washington region, is seeking a dedicated Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing Orthopedics team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
This is a unique opportunity to work across both inpatient and outpatient settings with a dynamic and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities
- First-assist in orthopedic surgery
- Conduct admission histories and physicals
- Manage inpatient rounding and discharge planning
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs
- Provide post-operative care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Who We're Looking For
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (ACNP) who have completed RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assist) certification
- Physician Assistants with surgical experience or interest
Note: FNPs are not eligible for this position due to surgical and inpatient requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited ACNP or PA program
Active Maryland license (or ability to obtain)Strong communication and collaboration skills
